We started on the Promenade in Brooklyn Heights. Ollie was a little nervous about the water, but he held his own. As we started across the bridge, the sun began to beat down and we stopped in the shade so Ollie could cool his paws from the hot planks. Check out what we like to call Oliver's "bacon tongue" . . .
As we headed for Manhattan, we took some pictures of Midtown . . .
and Downtown . . .
The bridge is narrow and crowded . . .
but we managed to snap another picture with you-know-who . . .
After we crossed the East River, we thought we might as well head over to the Hudson . . .
You can barely make out the Statue of Liberty in the background!
Although we would have taken a little break at Hudson River Park before heading home, sadly, "racism" still plagues even the most cosmopolitan of cities . . .

This reminds me when I took my special Cricket (poodle pup) across the Royal Gorge bridge in Colorado. She was so tiny and you could see between the bridge slats. Thought maybe her paws would go through. I'm so happy I got to see the city skyline in November. It is a trip I will treasure forever.
