That's HOT

Brian is feeling the crunch of the term. He's been studying for 6 days for one exam: History of Theory (a.k.a. "HOT"). The good news is that he's organized. The bad news is that his reading list has started to lean a little to the right. But hey, this is his LAST required class at CUNY! Congrats, Bry!

At least it will all be over soon, and by Saturday, we'll be on the road to Cincinnati to see our friends. After Cincinnati, it's on to Iowa to see Jess's parents and their new puppy, Coco Chanel.

Please keep us in your thoughts as Brian closes this chapter in his career and as we embark on the 1,306-mile journey home . . .

Phil, Peanut. Peanut, Phil.

Oliver has a new best friend! Our friend, Phil came over to visit today and Ollie was instantly smitten.

If only we had the energy to play hide-and-seek with such conviction!

Brooklyn Bridge

We finally walked across the Brooklyn Bridge! It was a HOT Saturday afternoon when we decided it was time . . .

We started on the Promenade in Brooklyn Heights. Ollie was a little nervous about the water, but he held his own. As we started across the bridge, the sun began to beat down and we stopped in the shade so Ollie could cool his paws from the hot planks. Check out what we like to call Oliver's "bacon tongue" . . .

As we headed for Manhattan, we took some pictures of Midtown . . .

and Downtown . . .

The bridge is narrow and crowded . . .

but we managed to snap another picture with you-know-who . . .

After we crossed the East River, we thought we might as well head over to the Hudson . . .

You can barely make out the Statue of Liberty in the background!

Although we would have taken a little break at Hudson River Park before heading home, sadly, "racism" still plagues even the most cosmopolitan of cities . . .

Celebrity Look-A-Like

Remember Teek from The Battle for Endor (ca. 1985)? Admit it, you know what I'm talking about.

The resemblance is uncanny! The ears, the ear hair, the beady eyes, that mischievous grin!

Is It Just Me?

As her mother can attest, Melon is utterly useless when she's sick! Is it just me, or is this a little ridiculous? There is literally a trail of used tissues leading to every room in the apartment. This time Melon ran out of tissues and, as you can see, we're now running low on toilet paper.

Get a grip, Melon! You're going to live!

The Panty Bandit

Every time one of us is in the shower, Oliver sneaks into the bathroom to steal socks. More recently, he has discovered panties!

The cotton! The silk! The lace! Oh, the beautiful colors! Ah, the elastic!

In an effort to extinguish Oliver's appetite for panties for good, Brian dumped the laundry basket on the floor yesterday and Oliver had a party! Believe it or not, we think it may have work; Oliver no longer seems all that interested in panties ever since he overindulged.
